Rethinking Asset Lifecycle Management at ARC World Industry Forum
The Orlando 2010 Forum is a must-attend event for executives from all asset-intensive industries such as oil & gas, chemical, metals, mining, paper, and utilities. In past ARC Forums, over 50% of the attendees have titles like Chairman, CXO, President, Vice President, Director, or Partner. ARCs ALM events are unique. Other events may touch on various aspects of ALM, like plant design or maintenance. But ARCs Forum is the only conference that recognizes the importance of teamwork across all of these disciplines and enables real networking across silos. Stakeholders in every lifecycle stage will learn something to help them do their jobs better. Everyone will learn more about critical cross-functional topics like ALIM that will help them improve their interactions with others. Regardless of your ALM interests, this is a must-attend event on your calendar.

Rethinking Operational Excellence Program at ARC World Industry Forum
The current economic climate has forced many companies to come up with creative solutions to deal with reduced demand and overcapacity, while at the same time remaining ready and agile enough to react when conditions improve and additional capacity utilization is required. Meanwhile, the industry remains plagued by a shortage of skilled workers and a wave of baby boomer retirements. Today, operational excellence is no longer a philosophy, it is a survival tool. We are just starting to scratch the surface when it comes to the significant benefits that can be realized by an intelligent approach to operations management as it relates to domains such as workforce changes, cyber security, carbon emissions, process safety, wireless networking, energy management, alarm management, system migration, and regulatory compliance. ARC believes that operational excellence is a journey, not a destination.

Rethinking Cyber Security at ARC World Industry Forum
Cyber security attacks of various kinds continue to escalate, growing in sophistication and their reach every year. Even though most of the attacks have been directed at commercial targets (such as banks) and individuals (such as identity theft), we are starting to see a significant increase in the number of attacks on our infrastructure such as ports, oil facilities, and the electric grid. Protecting our industrial facilities from cyber attacks requires very different types of solutions as compared to protecting our banks. Industrial facilities typically have different systems (for example, control systems) and risks (for example, loss of lives and environmental impact), requiring a totally separate security community focused on these issues and solutions. This community has been working for many years, but hackers and technology are moving very fast. We must continue to invest in existing programs and initiatives, but we also need to identify persistent problems, examine new requirements, and search for new ways to think about more secure solutions.

( barring criminal conviction of course ) - so even if you lived in IL for example, you can take a ONE DAY CLASS FROM ME AND BE CERTIFIED IN 34 STATES - REMEMBER, MANY, MANY STATES DO NOT RECOGNIZE NON-RESIDENT PERMITS, SO EVEN IF YOU HAVE A FLORIDA OR UTAH NON-RESIDENT, IT IS NOT GOOD IN 32 STATES, BUT ONLY 24 SO LET ME HELP YOU IF YOU WANT TO MAXIMIZE THE STATES YOU WANT TO CARRY IN ( EVEN FOR RESIDENTS OF A GOOD STATE, LIKE TEXAS OR ARIZONA FOR EXAMPLE, I CAN ADD 7 MORE STATES MINIMUM TO YOUR TOTAL, TO BRING IT TO 40 STATES ) ALL MY COURSES ARE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION CERTIFIED COURSES - ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTE. I AM LICENSED AS A BUSINESS IN BOTH LEE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF FORT MYERS, I AM INCORPORATED IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA, I MAINTAIN THREE SEPARATE INSURANCE POLICIES. ALL CLASSES ARE PRIVATELY SCHEDULED AT YOUR CONVENIENCE TO MEET YOUR SCHEDULE. I AM LOCATED IN FORT MYERS, FLORIDA. YOU CAN SCHEDULE A COURSE FOR YOUR FLORIDA CONCEALED FIREARM LICENSE, YOUR CONCEALED FIREARM LICENSE FROM ANY OF THE STATES ISSUING NON-RESIDENT PERMITS, AS I HAVE TRAVELED THE COUNTRY TO GET CERTIFIED BY EVERY STATE POSSIBLE. OR YOU MAY CHOOSE FROM OVER 54 OTHER COURSES FOR FIREARM OR PERSONAL PROTECTION INSTRUCTION. PLEASE VISIT MY WEBSITE WWW.INTERNATIONALFIREARMSAFETY.COM A FREE GUN LOCK TO EVERY PERSON THAT ATTENDS A COURSE !! AND I AM THE ONLY INSTRUCTOR IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA THAT WILL TRAIN CHILDREN !! Learn to shoot or enhance your skills with training from a National Rifle Association Instructor who is certified in the disciplines of Basic Pistol Shooting, Home Firearm Safety, Personal Protection, Shotgun, Rifle, Reloading, and Refuse To Be A Victim programs. No previous firearm experience necessary. Multiple course options to select from for beginners through experienced shooters. Safety classes are available for families and children (must be accompanied by parent). International Firearm Safety, Inc., holds a business license for both Lee County and the City of Fort Myers, is incorporated in the State of Florida, and maintains both General Liability and Professional insurance. The owner, Alecs Dean, holds more licenses to carry concealed firearms than anyone else in the United States. Obtain your Concealed Carry Permit from Florida or 32 other states with courses individually tailored to meet the requirements of dozens of varying programs. Classes are taught by Alecs Dean, who is Certified as a Firearm Instructor by more states than anyone else in America. Mr. Dean has hundreds of hours of verifiable training (always ask to see your instructors' credentials). No maximum time limit on private classes - we provide the individual attention necessary for you to achieve a level of comfort - we don't rush you out the door the way unprofessional trainers do. ( Most classes do require a minimum time ). Firearms of multiple different calibers, and ammunition, are provided for you at no additional cost - you will receive training with both revolvers and semi-automatics, both single-action and double-action. Private, personalized, one-on-one training available. There are classes offered for ladies only, taught with a female assistant. All courses by appointment - with convenient and flexible scheduling. Ask about scheduling Mr. Dean to speak about child access prevention at your church, school, or special event. National Rifle Association certificates provided verifying successful completion of each level of training. Assistance is provided for filling out and filing Concealed Firearm Application forms. Fingerprint, Notary, and Passport Photograph service available. ALL my classes are scheduled on a first-come first scheduled private basis, so this enables me to schedule at YOUR convenience around YOUR schedule, not mine : evenings, weekends, days, anything convenient for you. My courses are in the Fort Myers area. There are many value added items in my course that are not found in others. For example, my course is BOTH a Florida State Pistol Safety Course ( for your Florida Concealed Carry Permit ), AND a National Rifle Association Course. You receive TWO certificates of training. The NRA Certificate is accepted in every state, and is the gold standard worldwide. Also, I have the lowest student-teacher ratio in the state. My maximum class size is four persons. This makes for a better learning atmosphere and comfort in asking questions. There is no time limit to my course. I am not simply trying to get you in and out in 2 hours. And you may contact me at any time after your training with any additional questions. I train you on eight different semi-automatics and revolvers of multiple calibers. There are several reasons for this : it is a ' Training ' course, not just a ' Shooting ' course. This is to your benefit. We will shoot a minimum of 8 different guns, both revolvers and semi-automatics, both single action and double action; and ranging in caliber from a .22, .380, .38 Special, .40, .45, and more. This helps you become familiar with the differences in firearms. Most don't allow this, and the ones that do charge additional for a ' rental ' of just one gun. I do not. It is a good way to use different firearms to see what you like before you spend $500-$1000. You are welcome to bring your own firearms also. I also do not do the gun show class of fire one shot and you are done. I will not give that class. You will fire a minimum of 25 rounds in my class - usually 50 or more. My credentials exceed every other instructor in the State of Florida : I am THE ONLY instructor in the State of Florida certified by Arizona, Tennessee, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Kansas, and New Mexico. I am one of only two instructors certified by Louisiana, North Dakota, Massachusetts, and Utah. As such I have had thousands of hours of training all over the country and most training was given by law enforcement. I am THE ONLY instructor IN THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES that is certified to give courses by 26 different states. Please ask me about the best combination of permits that will provide you with the most coverage in the greatest number of states. I have a business license in both Lee County, and the City of Fort Myers. I am fully insured and bonded. ( if you do not select me as an instructor, PLEASE verify the instructor you select is licensed and insured, and that he is giving you an actual NRA course, and not just some course he made up - you may possibly lose your CWP if he does ) I am incorporated in the State of Florida. Finally, I do not charge extra for additional services - I am a notary, and will notarize your application here. I will take your passport photos here ( this is usually $15 elsewhere ). For other states I will do your fingerprints. The other instructors simply give you the class and send you on your way. When you train with me we will fill out your paperwork together, so it is filed right the first time. There are just some things to consider when you are seeking an instructor. There are some good ones out there, but always ask to see their verifiable credentials. I am usually booked one month in advance, due to the fact that I am the only one that teaches so many different states and my small class size. Currently I am two weeks lead time on scheduling. I charge $125 for the Florida class, and $175 for any other state specific course, EVERYTHING INCLUDED. I also put together a combination one-day course for six state permits that get you concealed carry in 40 states for one low flat one-time fee - so you can do it all in one place all at once. Disclaimer : International Firearm Safety, Inc., and Alecs Dean are not attorneys, and nothing said in classroom or correspondence should be construed as legal advice. You are encouraged to seek legal counsel. Just let me know and thank you very much for your interest. Safe, Professional, and Discreet civilian firearm and personal protection training.
